No. 6 - Charities

Hello everyone! The fall season has officially hit. INFKNIT is working hard to prepare for their launch on October 6th. Stay tuned on social media for information about our newest products.

As everyone has continued to adjust during these uncertain times, INFKNIT has really got to thinking about their core values. In addition to sustainability, versatility and a few other things we had the question of how can we give back? How could our clothing company give back to more than just the environment, but rather to our communities and associations that are important to us? With this INFKNIT has made the decision to implement donations to our current plan.

As this develops INFKNIT will be establishing relationships with 4 different associations; NEDA, BLM, Fashion Revolution, and Textile Exchange. All these associations will be listed on our website and be available to donate to.

A little more about these associations…

NEDA https://www.nationaleatingdisorders.org

NEDA. It stands for the National Eating Disorders Association. This association is one of the largest nonprofits whose sole purpose is to support families and individuals that are affected by eating disorders. On average about 30 million people in the United States struggle with eating disorders that are life threatening at least once in their lifetime. As said on the NEDA website; by donating you are reaching those in need with prevention programming, education and support resources, and helping to move research forward so we can better understand and treat the illness. Recovery is possible and you can help make it happen.

BLM https://blacklivesmatter.com

Black Lives Matter is a continuous movement to liberate Black people, end white supremacy forever and end state-sanctioned violence. By supporting this movement you are helping focus on issues such as; racial injustice, police brutality, criminal justice reform, Black immigration, economic injustice, LGBTQIA+ and human rights, environmental injustice, access to healthcare, access to quality education, and voting rights and suppression.

FASHION REVOLUTION https://www.fashionrevolution.org/about/

They utilize media to showcase that change is a possibility while encouraging individuals to make more ethical, sustainable and environmentally friendly choices.
